Scope and Contents
Box 4 contains records from Series 8 sub-series 2 and 3 as well as five files from Series 9.
Series 8 Subseries 2 includes about forty-five years of reports, as well as evaluation and informational documents sent to the WELS home missions, such as the Home Mission Handbook, the “New Mode” Evangelism Project, and documents on GBHM administration and policy. This Subseries also includes reports on surplus land, the Church Extension Fund, various architects that worked with the GBHM and reports from the GBHM Executive Committee. Subseries 3 contains general correspondence to and from the GBHM, with Gary Baumler, Norman Berg, and Daniel Gieschen being primary correspondents. Files associated with this series are file numbers 66-82.
