Koehler's Index: 736. 1863, September 11, sent from Berlin by Eichler to Reim.

(Langenberger and Berliner are not satisfied with the arrangement that Moldehnke should be a traveling preacher and professor. They would have remonstrated against it if the travel sermon hadn't been cut short in the winter. They suggest Giese for a professorship and also want to consider a second one, but first have the assurance that only students with a thorough academic background will be accepted. About Böhmer's insults to the Methodists (esp. American women) and his withdrawal energetic idea. The German societies obviously have a different view of the position of the synod towards them.)
