Related Materials

Koehler's Index: 738. 1863, September 17, sent from Fond du Lac by Kern to Reim.

(Defends himself against charges of unionism at communion and in a conversation with Pastor Off (United). He came from Basel, was supposed to be in the Verein des Westens, but was in the Northern Illinois Synod and wanted to go to the even more Lutheran Wisconsin Synod. Is pursued by Böhmer, about whose dismissal from Basel he talked without giving the reason. Requests an investigation. Otherwise, he wants to give the church back to the Wisconsin Synod and move on. (Methodists too: had a church member pray at Bible study.))
