Koehler's Index: 118. 1856, June 6, sent from Newtonburg by W. Streissguth to Muehlhaeuser. Freut sich dass Muehlhaeuser gegen das Confessionalism in der Synode auftritt. Schlägt die Debattenweise der Methodisten versus 2 Opponenten vor: Kindertaufe, Gnadenwahl, Wiederbringung [aller Dingen?]. Schlägt sich als Kollektanten vor, sonst macht er einen andern Ausflug, vielleicht zur reformierten. Missionsfest bei Sheboygan. Reim hat gegen die Methodisten in Auftrage der Synode geschrieben. Das soll nicht sein.

(Is pleased that Muehlhaeuser opposes confessionalism in the Synod. Suggests the method of debate versus 2 opponents: infant baptism, choice of grace, restoration [of all things?]. Proposes himself as a collector, otherwise he makes another excursion, perhaps to the Reformed one. Mission festival at Sheboygan. Reim wrote against the Methodists on behalf of the Synod. That is not to be the case.)
