Koehler's Index: 154. 1857, June 4, sent from Chicago by Jul. Friedrich to Muehlhaeuser. Hat sich von Fleischmann umgarnte lassen. Von Lochner, Wunder, Mueller freundlich aufgenommen, von Dr. Mann empfohlen. Aus der Rauhen Hause gewichen, weil er ein Braut hatte. Will lieber in Wisconsin als in Missouri Synode arbeiten. Aber wenn die Braut auch hier hinderlich, dann lieber in andere Arbeit, wo sie nicht hinderlich ist. Treuherziger Brief.

(Has been ensnared by Fleischmann. By Lochner, Wunder, Mueller kindly received, recommended by Dr. Mann. Left the rough house because he had a bride. Wants to work in Wisconsin rather than in Missouri Synod. But if the bride is also a hindrance here, then it is better to go to other work where she is not a hindrance. Faithful letter.)
