Koehler's Index: 177. 1857, November 14, sent from Chicago by J. E. Friedrich to Muehlhaeuser. Kommt doch nicht, weil die Schule in Chicago eingehen möchte. Selbst sein Mangel an Bekenntniseinigkeit schreckt Pastor Mueller und Gemeinde nicht. Soll nach Fort Wayne gehen, zunächst aber wegen der Schule bleiben. Friedrich ist eigentlich deutsch uniert.

(Don't come because the school in Chicago wants to go. Even his lack of confessional unity does not frighten Pastor Mueller and the church. Should go to Fort Wayne, but stay for the time being because of the school. Friedrich is actually german united.)
