Opposition gegen Methodisten selbst bei Vornehmen und Altlutheranern öffnet den Reiseprediger die Tür. Demnach liessen ihn die Missourier am Redriver nicht auf der Kanzel. Er gibt ihnen aber das Zeugnis dass sie die eigentlichen kirchlichen Interessierten sind.
