Koehler's Index: 936. 1864, July 9, sent from Hermannsburg by Bading to Reim. Sonst Privatnachrichten. Eichler ist gut lutherisch. Zwei Blätter. (Letter found in Koehler, History of Wisconsin Synod, p. 99)

(Sit down with d. contradicting reports from America. Is mildly Lutheran and intends to remain so. Muehlhaeuser and the Milwaukeers against Meumann? Köhler wants from d. separate donuts; why not from the Langenbergs, who are almost completely reformed? Koehler's letter to Eichler is meaningless. Requires professor to be sanely Lutheran. Otherwise private messages. Eichler is well Lutheran. Two sheets.)
