Scope and Contents
This series contains documents pertaining to each of the congregations which received subsidy from the GBHM and the BHM from 1977-1996. Included are correspondence, monthly and annual reports, demographic studies, and reports from meetings of individual congregations with the SEW DMB. Some of the congregations represented in this series continue to this day, others had been closed, and still others were never granted manpower. Although the majority of these congregations were mission congregations, subsidy was also given to a number of established congregations in the inner-city of Milwaukee.
Congregations in this series are arranged alphabetically by city, and the states represented here are arranged in this order: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Wisconsin.
