Koehler's Index: 483. 1860, November 30, sent from Platteville by Starck to Muehlhaeuser. Denken Sie an den Westen. Galena. Dammann soll an Braun’s Stelle?

(Think of the west. Galena. like Roll. It's necessary because of Iowa. They and the Missourians confessional, but ultimately no better than us. Rechenberg doesn't quite fit because of gifted Iowa etc. I can't. Happy about Dammann, whom he knows from the Brethren congregations over there. He was the son-in-law of the notorious Diesterweg at a teacher's seminar with Thilo and was recommended to the Prussian envoy in Rome as a private tutor. Köhler and the north need everything. Dammann should take Braun's place? And the one after Burlington in Goldammer's place? Don't want to know about the Iowans and their pietistic church discipline, which deals with taunting. Muehlhaeuser is supposed to get the shepherds be----- which is especially aimed at Iowa.)
