This series consists of documents from the founding of the MLA Athletic Boosters, as well as newspaper articles and photographs from the last three school years of Martin Luther Academy. These documents reflect the relative success that MLA’s athletic teams met with during these latter years of the school, a success which had not been evident in years prior to this time.

Scope and Contents Music was an important part of the history of Northwestern College. Performers represented in this section of the archives included the band, orchestra (early years), male choir, traveling choir, individual students, and visiting musicians. One contains articles on fellowship, scouting and World War II, among other subjects. One contains articles on the Lutheran World Federation and the Missouri Synod’s growing friendliness with liberal Lutheranism.
