Series 1: Early Correspondence, 1908 - 1919
This series consists of the earliest correspondence made by President Bergemann regarding operations of the synod at large. Bergemann attempted to group documents from major correspondents and kept a file for more than 100 individuals. Important cases were given their own file. Infrequent correspondence was arranged alphabetically.

This series consists of minutes and official correspondence from fifty years of Michigan District Mission Board meetings. The files are arranged chronologically. Files related to this series are files #4-8.
Series 2: Doctrinal Committee Work, 1947 - 1988
This series contains minutes and reports from the various committees involved in doctrinal studies both within and without the Wisconsin Synod. A large amount of detailed information is available, especially focusing on issues pertaining to the split between the Wisconsin and Missouri synods. Folders 41-47 are found in Box 2. Folders 48-69 are found in Box 3. Folders 70-83 are found in Box 4.

Series 2: Faculty Meetings, 1869 - 1995
This series contains documents related to the meetings of the faculty. The majority of the material is minutes from both the plenary faculty and college faculty meetings. Included also are agendas, reports, and miscellaneous correspondence related to the meetings.
